ABSTRACT

Dreikurs’ four goals of misbehavior has been considered one of his “major and finest contributions to Adlerian Psychology” (Mosak & Mosak, 1975, p. 14). His contribution remains a cornerstone of Individual Psychology’s approach to counseling children and families. However, the technique was not put to use without problems. In 1975, Mosak and Mosak published an article clarifying several misconceptions that had

come to light. Belt and Johansen (2004) also pointed to some common problems with the application of the technique.
