ABSTRACT
In the introductory chapter, we developed a theoretical framework to describe and explain the effects of globalization on late careers. Globalization has increased the flows of capital, commodities, services, labor, and information across national borders and has — in an unprecedented manner — accelerated economic and social change in all modern societies.
