ABSTRACT

Globalization processes have strongly affected the structure and progress of individual life courses in recent decades. These effects have been studied with respect to entry into the labor market as well as during mid-career phases. (Blossfeld et al. 2005; Blossfeld et al. 2006; Blossfeld and Hofmeister 2006). Our preceding chapter in this volume argues that systematic and significant globalization influences can also plausibly be assumed for late careers.
