ABSTRACT
This chapter concludes this book and highlights a number of issues relating to the effective implementation of Concurrent Engineering (CE) in construction projects. It starts with a brief summary of the various chapters of the book, emphasises the potential benefits of CE to the construction industry, and discusses the challenges in the practical implementation of CE in construction projects. The last section of the chapter explores some of the future directions in CE and identifies promising research areas.
