ABSTRACT
If an assessment of Jensen’s research on test bias is to be meaningful to future generations and to contemporary readers outside the United States as well, a brief description of its social matrix must be included. Following that description, I attempt to identify characteristics of Jensen’s research style that distinguish him to some degree from other scientists concerned with the same topic. Finally, I discuss Jensen’s own contributions and evaluate them against the background of other research.
