ABSTRACT
France does not appear as one of the largest traders for any of these three countries. What these data show is that Germany is developing much stronger economic links with the CEE countries than any of the other major West European economies. Taking trade and foreign investment together, Germany is the most important economy overall for these economies rather than the US.
