ABSTRACT
How does one summarize such a rich set of empirical analyses found in this book? What comparisons can be made about the content of engagement strategies across this wide variety of states? What lessons can be drawn about how well engagement works as a strategy for dealing with emerging powers? This chapter tries to offer some tentative answers to these questions.
