ABSTRACT
Developing staff to run project management and quality systems is the focus of this chapter. It outlines the processes involved in these two techniques and then identifies the skills that are needed. In each case, these skills are matched to staff roles, so creating the starting point for a development plan. Methods for developing these skills are discussed, and the chapter highlights the crucial role of management style and management development in creating an atmosphere in which project management and quality systems can flourish.
