ABSTRACT
So we put the straw in the car and went back to the school where the children were also collecting mud. We started building the oven in the school yard and somehow it wasn’t working, and the woman said to me, “Can we go to my yard because it’s just not working here, and the truth is I’ve been begging my mother to build me a tabun and she never has”. So, I checked with the teachers and school principal, and since it was very close, we all went to her yard and we built this oven. The grandmother didn’t really want the children to help because she was building a tabun and she wanted a good one, but the children did help as much as they could. It was a big event.
