ABSTRACT

Women and men are bound to each other through erotic attraction, work relations, political relations, as students, parents, confidants, through sport, and in artistic creation. Nevertheless, the feminist theoretical analysis of activities involving women and men as partners in discord and harmony is incomplete (Jónasdóttir 1991, 1994). Jónasdóttir imagines that the specific realities of sexual life (eroticism) entail a particular strength/ power development in human beings and a transference of power between people that has great significance for how we behave to each other and how we organize our societies.
