ABSTRACT

The year 1995 marks the twentieth anniversary of Rights of Women (ROW), a feminist legal project based in London, England. This chapter celebrates its history. It begins with ROW's summary of the organization as it is today, and then looks back to our beginnings, re-viewing some of the changes and continuities in the work and structure of the organization. There is no conclusion, as ROW's work is far from concluded. Instead the chapter ends by focusing on one aspect of our work, lesbian parenting, to illustrate in more detail some of the many forms and levels of feminist activist ways of working on women's relationship to law.
