ABSTRACT
In the mid-1980s, not long after a Canadian Minister of Education suddenly and without notice or training provision had thousands of personal computers sent out to his province’s schools, a newspaper cartoon showed a teacher and a student sitting across a desk piled with five computers. The teacher was saying to the student, ‘If I have five Apples and I give you two Apples, how many Apples do I have left?’
