From mid February 1994, St Valentine’s Day, when Wonderbra’s advertising campaign hit the cities’ billboards in Britain, ‘the original push-up plunge’ bra made headline copy. Voted ‘Campaign of the year’ in 1994 (Campaign, 6 January 1995: 21), a Jacky Fleming cartoon in The Guardian three years later critically mobilised Wonderbra within a post-feminist discourse:
