ABSTRACT
A literature review is a description, critical analysis and evaluation of relevant texts – both current and seminal – that relate to your research question or topic. On the basis of your literature review, you develop a coherent argument for your own research. The literature review in qualitative research is not completed at an early stage but continues to be updated through the entire period of your data collection, analysis and writing up of the final document.
