ABSTRACT
This essay is intended as an introduction to an ongoing study in the hermeneutics of occult philosophy and science. It is restricted, first, to predominantly methodological issues, and second, to the study of alchemy as one among many occult sciences via which considerations of method, as regards the entire corpus of those sciences, might best be illustrated.
