ABSTRACT
Lucy R. Lippard has published over twenty books on contemporary art and culture. The most recent ones include The Lure of the Local (1997) and On the Beaten Track (1999). She has been a columnist for the Village Voice, In These Times, and Z Magazine, and was the cofounder of Printed Matter. She has a black cat and lives in Galisteo, NM, where she edits the community newsletter (for eight years).
