ABSTRACT

The final chapter looks across all chapters in the volume and presents the broad themes of values, identities, relationships, and knowledge. These four broad themes transact collectively and lead to a consideration of the ways in which knowledge has been systematically suppressed by those in power. Originating with lessons from the past, the chapter suggests that new youth-led movements are a significant manifestation of the discourse of meaning making. It falls to educators to attend to these movements and support them within schools.
