ABSTRACT

Having just finished my undergraduate degree at Lock Haven University (LHU) with a minor in geography, I (Michaela Gawrys) will now work on my MA degree in geography at Kent State University. I reflect on my experiences in this chapter, and my former professor at LHU, J. Todd Nesbitt, also contributes insight regarding the university strategy and support to promote and encourage study abroad. Nesbitt was also the undergraduate advisor of Nicholas Wise, who is one of the editors of this book; Wise would eventually also complete his doctoral work at Kent State University.
