ABSTRACT
Chapter 3 provides an overview of methods that have been used to visualize data. This includes examples of traditional (analog) methods and contemporary (digital) methods. These visualizations take on various forms ranging from charts and graphics to interactive graphics and immersive environments. The chapter will introduce key individuals who have contributed to the recent discourse of visualizing data. A description of various computational tools for collecting data will be presented.
