ABSTRACT

Theater, as an important referent of the events of the political and social sphere that announces the mismatches between citizenship and governance, politics and public exercise, (in)justice and violence, becomes an imponderable creative formula. This modality is deeply rooted in Mexico’s theatrical tradition. It has been the strategy used by writers and directors in general who practice their writing and staging, experimenting with different formats, without disregarding the category of urgency and the tone of denunciation of the issues that scourge citizens.
