ABSTRACT
The broad societal impact of the mobile technologies will produce an even stronger coefficient against the rising costs of healthcare. Mobile solutions are going to be foundational to the new definition of the care continuum, and the net result will be a healthcare system in which the patient resides at the solid center of the mHealth ecosystem. The mHealth ecosystem will genuinely personalize healthcare by virtue of its convenience, connectivity, clinical and economic coherence. Its organizing principle is alignment—alignment of the inputs to healthcare within an integrated, interoperable system architecture that is efficient and accessible. Additional peripheral links to larger hospital or system wide technologies for a wide variety of stakeholders, including doctors, administrators, allied health workers, patients and businesses within the ecosystem of healthcare.
