ABSTRACT
As was previously discussed in Chapter 1, in the beginning of an investigation the available facts and information are like pieces of a puzzle found scattered about the floor: a piece here, a piece there, and one piece perhaps that has mysteriously slid under the refrigerator and won't be found until after the puzzle has been solved.
