ABSTRACT
In The Data Asset: How Smart Companies Govern Their Data for Business Success, Tony Fisher said that “the pressures on organizations today are ever-increasing: pressures to comply with regulatory and industry standards… pressures to compete in an uncertain and constantly changing economy.” 1 This statement is especially true today in the healthcare industry. Changing reimbursement models, ever-increasing regulations, and consumer quality demands are all driving the expectation of dramatic changes in healthcare delivery. Successful organizations can use data to survive during this time of rapid change.
