Destructive Intentions of Modern Bible Critics. — A recent announcement of what higher criticism proposes to do under the guidance of evolution is from the pen of one of its advocates: “We intend, First, to reconstruct Bible history in harmony with the theory of evolution. Second, to eliminate by this process all that is supernatural in the record. Third, to unite scholars in support of sweeping changes in the orthodox view of the Holy Scriptures.”
