ABSTRACT
We might understand bioinformation as the distillation and dissemination of information from biological organisms. But through the essays in this book, we learn that it is also so much more: bioinformation is a translation, a representation, and a product. Most importantly, as this book’s introduction makes clear, bioinformation is a promise reaching towards desired futures; it is thus a condensation and projection of differentiated definitions of life and its governance.
