ABSTRACT

Now, friends, I would like to take up Dr. Baker’s statements point by point; but there is just one point which I have in mind — another reason why evolution should be taught — and I want to save myself time to state that reason. I can’t resist telling of this case of horseplay. A Fundamentalist had been to the New York Natural History Museum, and after examining the Eohippus he confessed that it was all a fraud. Anyone could see that. It did not look like a horse to him. (I would like to say right here that it is not a horse, as you know horses, but the ancestor of a horse.)
