ABSTRACT

Libraries throughout the country have been faced with the rising costs of information for over a decade. Now, reductions in library budgets are adding to the dilemma. In response to the concerns associated with these issues the University of Oklahoma Libraries in association with the OU Foundation held a conference in Oklahoma City on February 25 and 26,1992 entitled, “Declining Acquisitions Budgets: Allocation, Collection Development, and Communication of Impact.” The papers delivered at the conference are presented in this volume and will also be available as a special monograph.
