ABSTRACT
Isn’t there an old adage which maintains that library science is the (next) oldest profession? That being the case, document delivery must be among the oldest services. After all, libraries have delivered documents to users since their creation; interlibrary loan is organized explicitly for document delivery between and among institutions.
