ABSTRACT

To see or not to see; to read or not to read, that is the question. Or, in more contemporary terms, how much or how little do we want to expose our children to sexual reading materials, and what is the public library’s role in doing this? As a mother of two young children, what is my role in introducing my children to this form of literature? These are questions which need to be explored when one discusses children’s rights in relation to sexual literature.
