ABSTRACT
On-line catalogs should be able to provide more data for serials than was possible with catalogs in card format because an electronic file can be updated instantaneously and manipulated rapidly. If constructed as an integrated file, it can bring more data to the catalog than was possible with card format. The Northwestern University Library LUIS serial display described here demonstrates how the bibliographic, holdings, and location function of a catalog may be enhanced through use of an electronic medium.
