ABSTRACT
Starting with an examination of the backgrounds of the company’s founders, the major directors’ connections, and political power, this chapter examines the political posture of Amazon. The CEO has benefited enormously from his close relationships to Silicon Valley’s and Washington DC’s elites. The chapter also examines the major controversies that made history in the company, from labour disputes to the relationships with the Obama and Trump administrations.
