Sociological and economic approaches to law and the economy. Friends or foes?

In this chapter, I examine different approaches to studying law and legal phenomena, including internal (legal dogmatics) and external perspectives. In particular, I compare the differences and similarities between three of the most renowned external perspectives: sociology of law, economic analysis of law and economic sociology of law. I conclude with some epistemological suggestions.
