ABSTRACT
An overview of the geography of the South China Sea basin is offered in this chapter. It discusses various aspects that relate to the physical and natural environment after the limits of the basin are explained. A brief commentary is presented on the approaches to the South China Sea and the limiting lines used for ships employed in the mercantile trade.
