ABSTRACT
Cooperation is the key of the future progress of the library community in Europe. Although interinstitutional library collaboration has proven to be very difficult in the past, it must become a reality in the future. As we approach 1992, the need of effective and efficient cooperation intensifies. Fortunately, the technical possibilities for realizing this goal also become more and more available.
