ABSTRACT
In his Rhetoric, Aristotle famously defines his central term as a capacity to see the available means of persuasion in any particular case. So, what kinds of things present themselves as “available”? Among the possible answers to this question, the one device or item that the author devotes attention to is the argumentation scheme.
