ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the parietal lobes, which play an important role in the areas of visual acuity and pattern recognition. They also help us make sense of raw sensory material and turn this information into useful perceptions. For each of the three sites, P3, PZ, and P4, dysregulation factors and two neurocounseling techniques will be presented, as well as LORETA image activations for each site. P3 neurocounseling techniques, with included step-by-step instructions, are imagery to practice correct behavior and 5-4-3-2-1 grounding activity. PZ neurocounseling techniques, with included step-by-step instructions, are route finding and correcting maladaptive early recollections. P4 neurocounseling techniques, with included step-by-step instructions, are brain teasers and sandplay therapy.
