ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the sensory motor strip, which helps us to move and calm our bodies down. For each of the three sites, C3, CZ, and C4, dysregulation factors and two neurocounseling techniques will be presented, as well as LORETA image activations for each site. C3 neurocounseling techniques, with included step-by-step instructions, are mindfulness jar and diaphragmatic breathing. CZ neurocounseling techniques, with included step-by-step instructions, are dancing and putting together puzzles. C4 neurocounseling techniques, with included step-by-step instructions, are progressive muscle relaxation and mindfulness meditation.
