ABSTRACT
Summary. Drawing on her varied experiences in the library and information industry, the author discusses her perceptions of the increasing similarity of skills and functions demanded of vendors and librarians as information managers. The skills and knowledge acquired through library work are exactly what are needed for many positions with library vendors. Librarians are urged to think broadly about what they can do with an MLS degree.
