ABSTRACT

It is well known that the way we use energy and the processes we put in place to supply energy in every economy play a crucial role in the world’s emissions of carbon dioxide. This chapter reviews both the economic and social dimensions of efficient transition to a low carbon economy. There is an increasing body of literature investigating the impact and implications of a low carbon economy in high polluting countries and industries. Hence, here we discuss different dimensions that are important for climate change policy and an efficient transition to a low carbon economy and its implications for brand reputation.
