ABSTRACT

Companies have been expected to be involved in socially responsible activities over the last few decades. Corporations satisfy CSR expectations in many different ways. Of late, they have started involving their employees in their CSR activities to meet increasing demands to be socially responsible, under the guise of employee volunteerism programs. These programs have enhanced effects for the employees and companies equally. This chapter discusses CSR, employees that volunteer to work for the community as a part of employee volunteer programs, the types of volunteer programs and the different benefits of each.
