ABSTRACT

Geospatial technology has provided a wealth of new forms and avenues of how we can understand the world around us. As alluded to in previous chapters of this book, geospatial technology has expanded into the application of sensors, machine learning and drones. The application of geospatial technology in society crosses many industries from archaeology to journalism, and efforts that range from humanitarian causes to tracking the spread of diseases. This chapter in particular focuses on the implications geospatial technology has on the journalism field.
