ABSTRACT
This chapter provides an overview of the entire book. We ground this on the cross-functional contributions and relevance of different aspects related to knowledge and its management in an international scenario, which is introduced in Chapter 1 and then developed through contemporary insights on knowledge management that are derived from the arguments of the other chapters of this book.
This chapter summarizes the overall arguments of the book, in relation to the core theme of this book: “Cross-functional Knowledge Management: The International Landscape”. From these contributions, we propose the crucial importance of building a knowledge management system (KMS) in order to manage relevant knowledge in an international scenario. This chapter provides implications and some future research areas as well.
