ABSTRACT
The Naxalite age was marked, besides all that have been described in the previous chapters, by a cultural mission. The rebels waged a persistent battle to destroy what they perceived as bourgeois decadent culture, and revisionist ideas of purity of art and literature. Art and literature had to be partisan, militant. The cultural struggle produced an outburst of creativity.
