ABSTRACT
The chapter describes the SDGs and what is interesting about them. It begins with the global agreement and goes on to discuss what sustainable development is. Then it describes the 17 goals and the lack of strategies for implementation. It also discusses the unclear relation to other global policies, as well as some of the history of the SDGs.
