ABSTRACT
The gross domestic product represents a general indicator of the macroeconomic condition of a national economy. Its calculation is closely related to a nation's economic system, economic policy, and price policy. Since 1985, China has begun to estimate her GDP. Apart from some technical problems arising in the process of concrete estimation, it was found that improvement in the methodology and sources of data needed to be addressed. This chapter is going to clarify some important unsolved issues.
