ABSTRACT

The twin brothers, Svatopluk and Vladimir Machrle, had spent their lives in the study of wastewater purification and other aspects of ecology management. In January 1991, Ecofluid, Ltd. was established, and by autumn it had twenty employees. The firm faced the problem of how to increase its share in both domestic and foreign markets. The partner firms of Ecofluid believed that they were on the right track for a prosperous future. Ecofluid offered its technology for the following applications: purification of municipal and sewage wastewater; purification of food industry wastewater; purification of industrial wastewater; and processing of farm animal manure. In 1991, Ecofluid established international technical bureaus to develop its processes according to differing national standards and to promote dissemination of the technology. The Czechoslovak firms that implemented Ecofluid technology were on a technically acceptable level and their products were relatively cheap in the West European market.
