ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on a very general way, on the manner in which the Mexican economic and socio-political policies have dramatically influenced the regulation of intellectual property in Mexico Economic forces of the Second World War gave Mexico the opportunity to initiate a new economic path. Industrial alliance and alliances of business enterprise were established and were taken advantage of, and the financing for the initiatives was achieved in large part through the available internal savings as well as certain special mechanisms and support from abroad. According to the estimates of the United States banking system, the assets and investments of Mexicans in the southern states of the United States surpassed fifty billion dollars. Mexico was a country with a very unstable external market; more than 70 % of its income from exports came from petroleum. Both Mexicans and foreigners were surprised by the rapidity and relative ease with which inflation was reduced.
