ABSTRACT
In rendering account of ourselves to the people in the preelection campaign, we are right to note major positive changes in international activity. The threat of war has been weakened. The security of the Soviet Union has increased. First, it is not possible to guarantee the security of one's own country without taking into account the security interests of other countries. There are only the inveterate retrogrades who continue to repeat the claims about the Soviet threat, although this does not mean that anti-Sovietism has been dropped from the arsenals by authors of military budgets, masters of the military-industrial complex, and by the ideologues of anticommunism.
