ABSTRACT
As indicated in the introduction to this volume, the five chapters reflect a spectrum of thinking as to the policy applications of energy analysis. In so doing these chapters identify major elements of the present controversy over the usefulness of energy analysis to policy-making. This summary seeks to clarify the theoretical and methodological differences reflected in the different approaches and to summarize the potential policy applications of each type of analysis.
