ABSTRACT
The growing bureaucratization of scientific and technical enterprises poses problems of control, according to S. N. Eisenstadt, professor of sociology at the Hebrew University, Eisenstadt, author of From Generation to Generation, believes that decision making tends to coalesce in the upper executive levels and among experts because of the monopolization of specialized knowledge.
